As aCA Community Outreach Representative, you’ll have the opportunity to utilize innovative strategies and programs to ensure access to health care coverage for the underserved. Through community marketing and outreach efforts, you will have a direct impact on membership growth and retention. Working under minimal supervision and collectively with the UHC National Medicaid Growth team, this Community Outreach Rep is responsible for working in targeted communities to grow membership. Specifically, this position is responsible for building valued-partner relationships with healthcare providers and community-based organizations (CBOs) that provide mutually beneficial opportunities to serve the Medi-Cal community.
** This is a 40hr workweek schedule**

Develop and execute innovative marketing outreach strategies to support membership growth and retention, innovation, and member and provider experience
Build solid, meaningful and impactful relationships that drive engagement with community-based organizations (CBO’s), faith-based organizations (FBO’s), key stakeholders and other influencers, leading to membership growth and retention opportunities
Represent health plan at community collaboratives and other groups/meetings/activities to bring awareness to health plan benefits and services
Plan, implement and participate in in-person or virtual events to engage Medi-Cal members and potential members
Develop and implement provider engagement strategies (including field-based approaches and face-to-face visits) in partnership with network partners that specifically focus on membership growth and retention
Drive sustainable and smart growth strategies for membership and market share by developing solid relationships within the health plan and across departments to align externally facing strategies (network, marketing, clinical and quality)
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to drive outreach strategies and initiatives
Timely and accurately document outreach activities in Salesforce CRM and generate growth reports for internal leadership
Understand/track membership growth including adds, terminations, market share and net growth by provider
Assure in-depth understanding of CA market Medicaid (Medi-Cal) products, value added services, benefits and state regulations
Complete annual marketing certification. Ensure that all materials, presentations and other information distributed to the community have been state-approved and follow CMS guidelines
