Red Hat is offering an exciting opportunity for someone who has a passion for marketing and excels at practical collaboration with a high performing Sales team. The Red Hat Marketing team is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join us. In this role, you will work in conjunction with the Southeast Field Marketing team leader and assist in growing the region’s overall market and take responsibility for marketing plans and activities within specifically assigned Sales teams. You will exercise independent judgment to evaluate business and marketing opportunities and determine where and how Red Hat’s Southeast Field Marketing team should focus its time and investments to ensure defined success. As a Marketing Specialist, you will report to the Senior Field Marketing Manager, but the people reporting relationship lines to the Director of Regional Field Marketing.Ideally, this role would be located in the Southeast U.S., but applicants with solid sales marketing or Red Hat knowledge may also be considered.Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.
Primary job responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage marketing plans and activities for assigned Sales teams within the North America Commercial Southeast region
Collaborate on overall strategies, plans, and forecasts with the Southeast Senior Field Marketing Manager
Provide exceptional service and support to Sales Account teams and other key stakeholders
Work with Sales teams to identify needs and opportunities that marketing programs can impact
Utilize the expertise and resources of other internal groups to bolster opportunity, ensuring that overall Marketing and Sales team priorities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and sales goals are maximized
Apply creativity and business acumen to content, marketing program development and implementation, event planning strategy, seminars and webinars, sales tools, training, advertising, etc.
Customize programs, promotions, and campaigns to include Red Hat’s partners and other appropriate internal groups that may benefit
Implement all tactical aspects of programs, including ROI analysis, budgeting, resource management, launch, communications, and promotion to sales and the market
Manage programs to budget; seek out alternative funding as needed
Set and achieve high level of field marketing program success in terms of metrics, increased awareness, sales leads, and revenue generated
Support regional demand center programs within this region like workshops and road shows, communicating event details and providing Sales teams with invitations to send to their customers
Ensure timely and consistent delivery of activities and outcomes via related project teams and marketing activities and functions
Co-own intranet partner portals with updates, Google calendar, and other internal communications
