The Partner Account Manager role is responsible for the management and execution of regional channel relationships and activities for ChargePoint. You will be a critical member of the channel organization, developing strategy with distributor partners and leading the implementation of sales plans, promotions, and stocking programs. You will drive the enablement of channel partners to realize growth targets.
Collaborate with ChargePoint sales and marketing leadership to develop a strategic and a tactical plan to increase sales in your region. Meet or exceed assigned quota measurements.
Build relationships with key partners in your region. Create growth-oriented sales plans for acquisition and existing distributors.
Assess the coverage provided by ChargePoint’s current set distribution partners and develop a gap analysis.
Develop sales opportunities within accounts. Provide internal sales leadership with regular pipeline updates leveraging CRM tool.
Educate distributors and their customers on EV market and charging solutions. Assist in the education, outreach, and marketing programs for electrical contractors.
Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence, and hit-rate data to sales and marketing leadership.
Ability and willingness to travel 30% of time.
Ability and desire to work on small, agile team.
Electrical distribution or electric vehicle industry experience.
Prior experience with a manufacturer, distributor, or Rep, with direct distributor sales background
Proficient use of MS Word, PPT, Excel, Salesforce CRM
Knowledge of SPA rebate processes used within the channel and prior experience or demonstrated capability to develop
Strong knowledge of the distributor business model and critical touch points to affect change to benefit ChargePoint growth
Track record of working closely with channel partners to develop plans and deliver results
Strong oral, written communication skills, and presentation skills
Experience with CRM tool SalesForce
Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
Potential and desire for advancement in career
Bachelor degree preferred OR equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 3 years of commercial sales through electrical products channel partners
