Purpose And Objective Of This Sales Position
The Public Sector Small Business Sales Executive is a sales overlay position that works collaboratively with the Enterprise Public Sector market unit sales team to drive commercial transactions. Through strategic account sales planning and team selling, this person prospects, qualifies, develops and closes one-time and recurring sales opportunities within the assigned market unit. This is a quota carrying position and is responsible for helping the market unit meet and/ or exceed the revenue quota for their assigned territory. The PS SB Sales Executive reports to the Sales Director for our State and Local Government sector.
Interacts with field sales employees, external customers and partners to drive revenue and contribute to the growth of existing customer revenue.
Maximize sales coverage by prospecting and responding to qualified sales leads, converting them to net-new sales.
Provide support for opportunities, including follow up discussions, product information and presentations, quotes and proposals, and closure of contract.
Prepare prospective customer proposals that are on time, functionally and technically accurate, commercially verified, offering the best all-round solution.
Negotiate sales orders within agreed delegation of authority.
Strong knowledge of Concur’s product functionality and the benefits they provide to existing customers with consideration for their existing configuration.
Ability to demonstrate Concur to prospective customers.
Strong knowledge of Concur’s contracts, pricing model and value proposition
Working knowledge of Concur’s professional services options and solutions.
Follow established sales process and methodology.
Properly forecast opportunities to team sales representatives and Sales Director.
Document all sales contacts and activities in Salesforce.com.
Operate under moderate supervision.
Ability to adapt to changes in roles and responsibilities
Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.
Education, Experience & Training Required
BA in business or technical related area of study, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of selling Cloud services in cross-vertical markets.
Selling business to business solutions to Financial, IT and Procurement departments
Experience with Challenger Sale highly desirable
Ability to pass a background check.
Job Specific Specialized Knowledge & Skills
Successful experience in identifying, qualifying and closing business
Proven track record of selling to Senior Executives of finance, IT, HR, Travel and Procurement departments
Strong understanding of the use of tools like MS Excel, Salesforce.com, Big Machines, Gainsight, Tableau, Brainshark, Webex, PowerPoint, etc….
